Tu connais déjà my, your, her. Quand tu ne veux pas répéter l’objet, remplace-les par mine, yours, hers : my book → mine.
my book = mine
This is my book. = This book is mine.
That is your seat. = That seat is yours.
It is her bag. = The bag is hers.
Not "This book is my." — say "This book is mine.". Sans objet après, my devient mine.
Essayez: That seat is ___. (yours / your / your's) Réponse: yours — Rien ne suit ici, donc utilise yours, pas your (your a besoin d’un nom après lui, comme « your seat »). Et il n’y a pas d’apostrophe : yours.
La liste complète
Voici toutes les correspondances : I → mine, you → yours, he → his, she → hers, we → ours, they → theirs. Remarque : his reste his, et il n’y a pas de -s à mine (pas « mines »).
Is this pen yours? No, it is his.
These tickets are ours, not theirs.
The red coat is hers.
Essayez: This phone isn't yours, it's ___.
Si tu veux nommer l’objet, reviens à my, your, her.
Those keys are theirs. (not "theirs keys")
Is this yours? (not "yours bag")
It is her phone. = The phone is hers.
Not "That is hers bag." — say "That is her bag. / That bag is hers.". Tu nommes l’objet → her bag. Pas d’objet après → hers.
Essayez: Those are ___ keys. (their / theirs / theirs') Réponse: their — Il y a un nom juste après (keys), donc utilise their + keys. « Theirs » s’emploie seul, sans rien après : « Those keys are theirs. »
Essayez: Is this ___ umbrella? No, I think it's ___. (your … hers / yours … hers / your … her) Réponse: your … hers — Le premier espace est suivi d’un nom (umbrella) → your umbrella. Le second est seul → hers. Avec un nom après, on utilise your/her ; seul, on utilise yours/hers.
