Am, Is, Are (A1)

با I از am استفاده کن. شکل کوتاهش I'm ـه.

I → am

• I am here.
• I am a student.
• I'm happy.
• Not "I is here." — say "I am here.". I همیشه با am میاد، هیچ‌وقت با is یا are.
• خودت امتحان کن: I ___ a student. (am / is / are) جواب: am — I am a student. I همیشه با am میاد، هیچ‌وقت با is یا are.

he / she / it → is

با he, she, it از is استفاده کن.

• He is here.
• She is here.
• It is here.
• Not "He are here." — say "He is here.". یک نفر یا یک چیز is می‌گیره، هیچ‌وقت are.
• خودت امتحان کن: Sofia ___ my friend. (is / am / are) جواب: is — Sofia is my friend. Sofia یک نفره (she)، پس is بذار، نه are.

you / we / they → are

با you و we و they از are استفاده کن. you چه یک نفر باشه چه چند نفر، are می‌گیره.

• Not "They is here." — say "They are here.". we, they و you → are، هیچ‌وقت is.
• خودت امتحان کن: They ___ students. (are / is / am) جواب: are — They are students. They بیشتر از یکیه، پس are بذار، نه is.

am، is یا are؟

از خودت بپرس کی؟ I → am، you → are، he/she/it → is، بیشتر از یکی → are.

• I am here.
• She is here.
• They are here.
• Not "She are here." — say "She is here.". She یک نفره، پس is. Are برای you و برای بیشتر از یکیه.
• خودت امتحان کن: Amina and I ___ ready. (are / am / is) جواب: are — I به‌تنهایی am می‌گیره، ولی Amina and I یعنی دو نفر، پس are می‌گیره.
