Com I, use am. A forma curta é I'm.

- Not "I is here." — say "I am here.". I anda sempre com am, nunca com is ou are.
- Experimente: I ___ a student. (am / is / are) Resposta: am — I am a student. I anda sempre com am, nunca com is ou are.

Com he, she, it, use is.
- He is here.
- She is here.
- It is here.
- Not "He are here." — say "He is here.". Uma pessoa só ou uma coisa só pede is, nunca are.
- Experimente: Sofia ___ my friend. (is / am / are) Resposta: is — Sofia is my friend. Sofia é uma pessoa só (she), então use is, não are.
you / we / they → are
Com you, we e they, use are. You pede are tanto para uma pessoa quanto para várias.
