Am, Is, Are (A1)

مع I استخدم am. والصيغة المختصرة هي I'm.

I → am

• I am here.
• I am a student.
• I'm happy.
• Not "I is here." — say "I am here.". I تأتي دائمًا مع am، ولا تأتي أبدًا مع is أو are.
• جرّب بنفسك: I ___ a student. (am / is / are) الإجابة: am — I am a student. I تأتي دائمًا مع am، ولا تأتي أبدًا مع is أو are.

he / she / it → is

مع he, she, it استخدم is.

• He is here.
• She is here.
• It is here.
• Not "He are here." — say "He is here.". الشخص الواحد أو الشيء الواحد يأخذ is، ولا يأخذ are أبدًا.
• جرّب بنفسك: Sofia ___ my friend. (is / am / are) الإجابة: is — Sofia is my friend. إنّ Sofia شخص واحد (she)، لذلك استخدم is لا are.

you / we / they → are

مع you وwe وthey استخدم are. وyou تأخذ are سواء كانت لشخص واحد أو لعدة أشخاص.

• You are here.
• We are here.
• They are here.
• Not "They is here." — say "They are here.". we, they وyou → are، ولا تأخذ is أبدًا.
• جرّب بنفسك: They ___ students. (are / is / am) الإجابة: are — They are students. إنّ They أكثر من واحد، لذلك استخدم are لا is.

am أم is أم are؟

اسأل نفسك مَن؟ I → am، وyou → are، وhe/she/it → is، وأكثر من واحد → are.

• I am here.
• She is here.
• They are here.
• Not "She are here." — say "She is here.". إنّ She شخص واحد، لذلك is. أما Are فهي لـ you ولأكثر من واحد.
• جرّب بنفسك: Amina and I ___ ready. (are / am / is) الإجابة: are — I وحدها تأخذ am، لكنّ Amina and I تعني شخصين، لذلك تأخذ are.
