Am, Is, Are (A1)

用 I 的时候，配 am。缩写是 I'm。

I → am

• I am here.
• I am a student.
• I'm happy.
• Not "I is here." — say "I am here.". I 永远配 am，从来不配 is 或 are。
• 试一试: I ___ a student. (am / is / are) 答案: am — I am a student. I 永远配 am，从来不配 is 或 are。

he / she / it → is

用 he, she, it 的时候，配 is。

• He is here.
• She is here.
• It is here.
• Not "He are here." — say "He is here.". 一个人或一个东西，用 is，从来不用 are。
• 试一试: Sofia ___ my friend. (is / am / are) 答案: is — Sofia is my friend. Sofia 是一个人（she），所以用 is，不用 are。

you / we / they → are

用 you、we 和 they 的时候，配 are。you 不管是一个人还是很多人，都配 are。

• You are here.
• We are here.
• They are here.
• Not "They is here." — say "They are here.". we, they 和 you → are，从来不用 is。
• 试一试: They ___ students. (are / is / am) 答案: are — They are students. They 是不止一个人，所以用 are，不用 is。

am、is 还是 are？

先问一句：是谁？ I → am，you → are，he/she/it → is，不止一个 → are。

• I am here.

• They are here.
• Not "She are here." — say "She is here.". She 是一个人，所以用 is。Are 是给 you 和不止一个人用的。
• 试一试: Amina and I ___ ready. (are / am / is) 答案: are — 单独一个 I 配 am，但 Amina and I 是两个人，所以要用 are。
