مع I, you, we, they، استخدم الفعل المجرّد، بدون أي نهاية.
I / you / we / they
I work at Mosh Market.
You live near the park.
They buy their clothes here.
Not "They buys their clothes here." — say "They buy their clothes here.". لا تُضاف -s هنا؛ فـ -s تُستخدم فقط مع he و she و it.
We ___ at Mosh Market. (work / works) الإجابة: work — لو أضفت -s ليصبح "works"، فتلك النهاية خاصة بـ he/she/it فقط. We work at Mosh Market.
don't + الفعل
مع I, you, we, they، تنفي بوضع don't قبل الفعل.
I don't live here.
You don't work at home.
They don't wear a jacket. It is very hot.
Not "I no live here." — say "I don't live here.".
We ___ in Haffenville. We live in Senfarrow Brook. (don't live / not live / don't living) الإجابة: don't live — مع we، يكون النفي بـ don't ثم الفعل كما هو: don't live.
Do you...?
لتسأل مع I, you, we, they عن فعل ما، ابدأ بـ Do، ثم الشخص، ثم الفعل كما هو. وأجب باختصار: Yes, I do. أو No, I don't.
Do you live here? Yes, I do.
Do they work at home? No, they don't.
Do we pay now? Yes, we do.
Not "Do you live here? Yes, I live." — say "Do you live here? Yes, I do.".
Maya: Do you buy your shoes here? Lars: ___ I buy all my clothes at Mosh Market. (Yes, I do. / Yes, I buy. / Yes, I am.) الإجابة: Yes, I do. — السؤال الذي يبدأ بـ Do تعود فيه do في الإجابة: Yes, I do. أما Yes, I buy.
go to مع المكان، و go home
يأخذ go كلمة to قبل المكان: go to work، go to school، go to the market. وقبل home احذف to: go home.
I go to work.
We go to the market and buy bread.
They go home and eat.
Not "They go to home and eat." — say "They go home and eat.". home هي الوحيدة من هذه الأربع التي لا تأخذ to.
I work at Mosh Market. Then I ___ and eat with my family. (go home / go to home / go the home) الإجابة: go home — home هي العبارة التي لا تأخذ to: go home. أما go to home فتعيد to التي تُسقطها هذه العبارة بالذات، و go the home ليست عبارة تُستخدم في الإنجليزية.
Are you...? أم Do you...?
Do you...?
Are you cold? (cold is a describing word)
Are you Mei's sister? (a sister is a person)
Do you live here? (live is an action)
Not "Are you live here?" — say "Do you live here?". live فعل، لذلك يبدأ السؤال بـ Do، لا بـ Are.
جرّب بنفسك: ___ you buy your clothes here? (Do / Are / Is) الإجابة: Do — buy فعل، لذلك يبدأ السؤال بـ Do.
جرّب بنفسك: ___ you cold in that T-shirt? (Are / Do / Have) الإجابة: Are — cold كلمة وصف وليست فعلًا، لذلك يبدأ السؤال بـ Are.
I drink tea every morning. (routine)
Water is cold in winter. (fact)
We go to the market on Saturday. (habit)
(Amina and Mei walk to class every day. / Haffenville has two parks.) Amina and Mei walk to class every day.
