Not "You are tired? (this is still a statement)" — say "Are you tired? (now it asks)". 語順によって疑問文になります。be動詞を文頭に移動させましょう。
やってみよう: You are tired. これを疑問文にしましょう。 答え: Are you tired? — Yes / No で答える疑問文では、be動詞を文頭に移動させます：Are you tired?。「You are tired?」のままだと肯定文の語順のままです。語順を変えることで疑問文になります。
疑問詞から始める
be動詞を使った where / what / who の疑問文では、まず疑問詞を置き、そのあとに be動詞を続けます。それぞれの疑問詞は聞く内容が決まっています：where は場所、what は物や事柄、who は人をたずねます。
Amina is at home. → Where is Amina?
This is a cat. → What is this?
She is happy. → Who is happy?
Not "Where Amina is? (this is the statement order)" — say "Where is Amina? (question word first, then is)". 疑問詞を文頭に置き、そのあと名前の前に is を移動させます。

人の行動についてたずねる
誰かが何をするかをたずねるときは、疑問詞で始め、次に do または does、そのあとに動作を表すことばの原形を置きます。he, she, it には does、you, we, they には do を使います。疑問詞には where（場所）、what（物や事柄）、when（時）などがあります。
Amina lives somewhere. → Where does Amina live?
They live somewhere. → Where do they live?
Mei likes something. → What does Mei like?
Mei reads at some time. → When does Mei read?
Not "Where Amina lives? (this is the statement order)" — say "Where does Amina live? (with does, the action word is plain)". does のあとには原形を使います："lives" ではなく live です。
be動詞、それとも動作を表すことば？
まず元の文を見ましょう。すでに is / are / am がある場合は、その be動詞を文頭に移動させます：She is happy. → Is she happy?。work, live, read のような動作を表すことばがある場合は、do または does を使います：She works. → Does she work?
She is happy. → Is she happy? (has is)
She works. → Does she work? (has an action word)
They are ready. → Are they ready? (has are)
They live here. → Do they live here? (has an action word)
Not "Is she work? (there is no be-word in "She works")" — say "Does she work? (an action word needs does)". 文の中に is / are / am がない場合は、be動詞ではなく do または does を使います。
やってみよう: Make "She works." a question. Which one is correct? (Does she work? / Is she work? / Do she work?) 答え: Does she work? — 「She works」には動作を表すことばがあり、is / are / am はないので、does を使います：Does she work?。「Is she work?」は元の文にない be動詞を使ってしまっており、「Do she work?」は主語が she なので does にする必要があります。
やってみよう: Make "She is happy." a question. Which one is correct? (Is she happy? / Does she happy? / Does she be happy?) 答え: Is she happy? — 「She is happy」にはすでに be動詞の is があるので、それを文頭に移動させます：Is she happy?。ここには動作を表すことばがないので、does は使いません。
