big red，不是 red big (A1)

用 两个 描述的词的时候，表示 多大 的词要放在表示 什么颜色 的词前面。

大小放在颜色前面

• a blue small phone → a small blue phone
• a green long umbrella → a long green umbrella
• a white big dog → a big white dog
• Not "a blue small phone" — say "a small blue phone". 先说大小（small），再说颜色（blue）。
• 试一试: 把这些词排好顺序。 答案: a big red bag — 大小放在颜色前面：a big red bag。如果把 red 放在前面，就是先说颜色、后说大小了。
• 试一试: 先说大小，再说颜色。哪一个听起来对？ (a long gray coat / a gray long coat) 答案: a long gray coat — 大小（long）放在颜色（gray）前面：a long gray coat。"A gray long coat" 顺序反了。

哪个是大小，哪个是颜色

大小词说明有多大：big, small, long。颜色词说明是什么颜色：red, yellow, blue, green, brown, black, white, gray。先说大小，再说颜色。

• small (size) + white (color) → a small white cat
• big (size) + green (color) → a big green book
• long (size) + black (color) → a long black umbrella
• 试一试: 把这些词排好顺序。 答案: a small blue bag — "Small" 是大小，"blue" 是颜色，所以大小放前面：a small blue bag（不是 "a blue small bag"）。
