买衣服 (A2)

在服装店里，想买之前先试穿就问 Can I try it on?，想知道价格就问 How much is it?，想找大一号的就问 Do you have a bigger size?。

在店里询问

• Can I try it on? — This looks nice. Can I try it on?
• How much is it? — How much is it?
• Do you have a bigger size? — Do you have a bigger size?
• 试一试: Camila: That jacket looks nice. ___ Farid: Of course. The fitting room is over there. Camila wants to wear the jacket before she buys it. Which fits? (Can I try it on? / How much is it? / It's on sale) 答案: Can I try it on? — Can I try it on? 是在问能不能先试穿再买，对应的回答指向试衣间。How much is it? 是问价格，It's on sale 是在描述价格，都不是在问能不能试穿。

谈论衣服

想描述衣服，尺码合适时说 It fits well，不够大时说 It's too small，价格比平时低时说 It's on sale。

• It fits well — This coat fits well.
• It's too small — This shirt is too small.
• It's on sale — It's on sale today.
• 试一试: Amina: How is that shirt? Diego: ___ I can't even close it. The shirt does not fit Diego because it is not big enough. Which fits? (It's too small. / It fits well. / It's on sale.) 答案: It's too small. — It's too small 表示不够大，这正是 Diego 扣不上扣子的原因。It fits well 表示尺码合适，It's on sale 是关于价格的，都解释不了一件扣不上的衬衫。

付款和退货

在收银台会用到的词。price 就是东西卖多少钱。你可以用 credit cards 或现金付款，然后收好 receipt——那张证明你付过钱的小票。有了 receipt，就能把不想要的东西 return 掉。fitting room 是试衣服的地方，裁缝可以把太长的裤子 shorten。

• return — I would like to return this shirt.
• fitting room — The fitting room is over there.
• shorten — Can you shorten these pants?
• 试一试: Camila wants to bring a shirt back to the shop. First she needs the ___ that proves she paid. (receipt / price / fitting room) 答案: receipt — Receipt 是证明你付过钱的纸条，店家在接受退货前会先要它。Price 只是多少钱，fitting room 是试衣服的地方。
• 试一试: The pants are too long. Camila asks the tailor to ___ them. (shorten / return / price) 答案: shorten — Shorten 是改短，这正是太长的裤子需要的。Return 是退回店里，price 是价格，所以两个都不会改变长度。
