레시피 순서, 길 안내, 사용법처럼 상대방에게 행동을 지시할 때는 you나 -s 없이 동사원형만 써요: Add the salt, Turn left, Send the report.
지시문에는 동사원형을 써요
Add the flour and mix well.
Turn left at the lights.
Boil the water in a large pot.
Not "You add the salt, then turns left." — say "Add the salt. Turn left.". you와 -s 없이 Add, Turn처럼 동사원형만 써요.

Not "No forget your keys." — say "Don't forget your keys.". 부정 지시문은 No + 동사가 아니라 Don't + 동사예요.

공손하게 말할 때는 Please + 동사
지시를 공손하게 하려면 문장 맨 앞에 Please를 붙여요. 동사는 그대로 원형을 써요.

동사 앞에 Do를 붙이면 따뜻하고 적극적으로 권하는 느낌을 줘요. 권유나 초대가 훨씬 더 다정하고 친근하게 느껴져요.

Do come in and make yourself at home.
