وقتی نشنیدی، بگو Sorry, I didn't catch that. برای اینکه یه بارِ دیگه بشنوی، بپرس Could you say that again? یا Could you speak more slowly?

وقتی نمی‌شنوی

• خودت امتحان کن: Man: The meeting is on Thursday. Woman: ___ I was looking for my keys. حرفِ اون خانم رو انتخاب کن. (What do you mean? / Sorry, I didn't catch that. / How do you spell it?) جواب: Sorry, I didn't catch that. — سرش به کلیدهاش گرم بود و حرفِ مرده رو نشنید، پس می‌گه Sorry, I didn't catch that.
