برای کاری که قبلاً بارها انجام می‌دادی ولی الان انجام نمی‌دی، از used to و یه فعل استفاده کن.
used to + فعل
I used to swim every morning.
We used to eat lunch in the park.

used to همچنین می‌گه اوضاع قبلاً چطور بود. I used to live in Mexico یعنی اونجا زندگی می‌کردم، ولی الان اونجا زندگی نمی‌کنم.
I used to live in Mexico.
The park used to be bigger.

didn't use to: قبلاً نه
برای جمله‌ی منفی، از didn't use to و یه فعل استفاده کن. بعد از didn't می‌شه use to، بدون -d.
I didn't use to like coffee.
Not "I didn't used to like coffee." — say "I didn't use to like coffee.". بعد از didn't بنویس use to.

برای سؤال درباره‌ی گذشته، با Did شروع کن: Did you use to و یه فعل؟

Not "Did you used to play soccer?" — say "Did you use to play soccer?". بعد از Did بنویس use to.

not anymore: دیگه نه
وقتی یه کاری تموم شده، اون رو با not بگو و anymore رو بذار آخرِ جمله.
He doesn't drive anymore.
I don't eat meat anymore.

there was، there were
برای گذشته، there is می‌شه there was، و there are می‌شه there were.
There was a big tree here.
There were three schools in town.

برای منفی، با یه چیز یا با کلمه‌هایی مثل غذا و آب بگو there wasn't و با بیشتر از یکی بگو there weren't. برای سؤال بگو Was there یا Were there.
There wasn't a park here.
Were there many stores?
