برای گفتن اینکه دو چیز از یه جهت یکسانن، کلمهی توصیفکننده رو بین دو تا as بذار: as + کلمه + as. کلمه ساده میمونه، بدون -er.

This book is as interesting as that one.
Hiroshi runs as fast as his brother.
My bag is as heavy as yours.
Not "Amina is as taller as Lars." — say "Amina is as tall as Lars.". داخلِ as ... as، کلمه ساده میمونه: as tall as، نه «as taller as».
خودت امتحان کن: Hiroshi runs ___ his brother. (as fast as / as faster as / as fast than) جواب: as fast as — کلمهی وسط ساده میمونه: as fast as (نه «as faster as»). و هر دو طرف as ـه، پس دومی هم as ـه، نه «than»: as fast as his brother.
not as ... as
برای گفتن اینکه یه چیز از یکی دیگه کمتر ـه، not اضافه کن: not as + کلمه + as.
She is not as tall as her sister. (= shorter)
Today isn't as cold as yesterday. (= warmer)
This café isn't as busy as the one downtown.
خودت امتحان کن: Today isn't ___ yesterday. It's warmer. (as cold as / as colder as / as cold than) جواب: as cold as — همون as ... as رو نگه دار، فقط not رو اضافه کن («isn't»): isn't as cold as yesterday. کلمه ساده میمونه (نه «colder»)، و هر دو طرف as ـه، پس دومی هم as ـه، نه «than».
as ... as یا -er than؟
قبل از انتخاب از خودت بپرس: مثل هماند، یا یکی بیشتره؟مثل هم → as + کلمهی ساده + as. یکی بیشتر → -er / more ... than. یکی کمتر → not as ... as.
The same: Amina is as tall as Lars. (they measure the same)
One is more: Amina is taller than Lars.
One is less: Amina is not as tall as Lars. (= she is shorter)
Watch the word: it stays plain inside as ... as (as tall as), but takes -er with than (taller than).
Not "Amina is as tall than Lars." — say "Amina is as tall as Lars. / Amina is taller than Lars.". as با as میآد و -er با than. این دو تا رو قاطی نکن.
خودت امتحان کن: Mei و Sofia هر دو دقیقاً ۱٫۶۵ متر قد دارن. هیچکدوم بلندتر نیست. کدوم برای دو چیزی که اندازهشون یکیه مناسبه؟ (Mei is as tall as Sofia. / Mei is taller than Sofia.) جواب: Mei is as tall as Sofia. — اندازهشون یکیه، پس از as + کلمهی ساده + as استفاده کن: as tall as. «Taller than» یعنی یکیشون بیشتره، ولی اینطور نیست.
خودت امتحان کن: My phone is ___ yours, but it isn't ___ that new one. (as new as … as expensive as / as newer as … as expensive than / as new than … as expensive as) جواب: as new as … as expensive as — هر دو جای خالی از همون الگو استفاده میکنن: as + کلمهی ساده + as. پس as new as و as expensive as. کلمه رو ساده و هر دو طرف رو as نگه دار، هم توی مثبت و هم بعد از «isn't».
