always، usually، sometimes و never می‌گن چند وقت به چند وقت. قبل از فعل اصلی می‌آن، و بعد از am، is و are.

Not "I eat usually lunch at one." — say "I usually eat lunch at one.". یه قید مثل usually قبل از فعل اصلی می‌آد.
خودت امتحان کن: Amina: How do you get to the park? Lars: By bike. I ___ ride it. I don't have a car. حرفِ Lars رو انتخاب کن. (sometimes / always / never) جواب: always — Lars ماشین نداره، پس هر بار که می‌ره پارک با دوچرخه‌ش می‌ره: always سوارش می‌شه. sometimes یعنی فقط بعضی روزها، و never یعنی هیچ روزی.
چطور انجامش می‌دی: -ly اضافه کن
برای اینکه بگی یه کاری رو چطور (how) انجام می‌دی، -ly اضافه کن: slow → slowly، loud → loudly، careful → carefully. این قیدها بعد از فعل می‌آن، یا بعد از فعل و مفعولش.
Please talk slowly.
He talks loudly on the phone.
She carries the vase carefully.
Not "She carries the vase careful." — say "She carries the vase carefully.". برای اینکه بگی چطور جابه‌جاش می‌کنه، -ly اضافه کن: carefully.

(careful / carefully / loudly) جواب: carefully — برای اینکه بگی Amina چطور از کنارِ اسباب‌بازی‌ها رد می‌شه، -ly رو به careful اضافه کن: carefully. careful می‌گه یه آدم چه‌جوریه، و با سروصدا (loudly) راه رفتن روی پله‌ها کمکی نمی‌کنه.
well, fast, hard (بدون -ly)
بعضی کلمه‌ها -ly نمی‌گیرن. good → well. fast و hard همون‌طور می‌مونن: a fast train goes fast، و a hard worker works hard.
She sings well.
The train goes fast.
They work hard on the farm.
Not "She sings very good." — say "She sings very well.". برای اینکه بگی چطور آواز می‌خونه، از well استفاده کن، نه good.
خودت امتحان کن: Lars: Our new mail carrier is great. Amina: Yes. She walks ___, and our mail is here early. حرفِ Amina رو انتخاب کن. (loudly / fast / good) جواب: fast — نامه‌ها زود می‌رسن چون نامه‌رسون fast راه می‌ره، و fast بدون -ly همون‌طور می‌مونه. با سروصدا (loudly) راه رفتن نامه‌ها رو زودتر نمی‌رسونه، و good می‌گه یه چیز چه‌جوریه، نه اینکه چطور راه می‌ری.
چند بار: once a week, twice a week, every day
با once a week، twice a week یا every day هم می‌تونی بگی چند وقت به چند وقت. این‌ها آخرِ جمله می‌آن.
I call my parents once a week.
We play soccer twice a week.
I clean my room every day.

(once a week / every day / twice a week) جواب: twice a week — دوشنبه و پنج‌شنبه می‌شن دو روز، پس Amina این کلاس رو twice a week داره. once a week یعنی یه روز، و every day یعنی هر هفت روز.
slow یا slowly؟
درباره‌ی یه چیز یا یه آدم بگو slow، careful یا good: a slow bus، a careful driver. درباره‌ی اینکه یکی چطور یه کاری رو انجام می‌ده بگو slowly، carefully یا well: she drives carefully.
She's a careful driver. She drives carefully.
He's a good cook. He cooks well.
Not "The bus is very slowly today." — say "The bus is very slow today.". بعد از is، بگو اتوبوس چه‌جوریه: slow.
