کلمههایی مثل always, usually, often, sometimes, never میگن چند وقت به چند وقت. اونها رو قبل از فعل اصلی بذار. با am, is, are، اونها رو بعد بذار.
چند وقت به چند وقت: always, usually, sometimes
She always arrives on time.
I sometimes go jogging in the park.
They are usually busy on Mondays.
Not "She arrives always on time." — say "She always arrives on time.". یه کلمهی تکرار قبل از فعل میآد: She always arrives، نه arrives always.

هر کلمه چقدره
هر کلمهی تکرار میگه یه کار چند وقت به چند وقت اتفاق میافته. از بیشترین تا کمترین بچینشون: always = همیشه، 100% · usually = معمولاً، حدود 90% · often = اغلب، حدود 70% · sometimes = گاهی، حدود 50% (نه بیشترِ وقتها) · never = هرگز، 0%.
always (100%): I always lock the door — every single time.
usually (~90%): She usually walks to work, but now and then she takes the bus.
often (~70%): We often eat rice, but not every day.
sometimes (~50%): He sometimes plays football on the weekend.
never (0%): They never eat meat — not once.
Not "I sometimes brush my teeth every single morning." — say "I always brush my teeth every single morning.". always = همیشه (100%)؛ sometimes = گاهی (حدود 50%، نه بیشترِ وقتها). هر روز صبح بدونِ استثنا یعنی always، نه sometimes.
خودت امتحان کن: Yuki eats breakfast every single morning, with no exceptions. Yuki ___ eats breakfast. (always / sometimes / never) جواب: always — always یعنی همیشه — 100%، بدونِ هیچ استثنا. sometimes یعنی گاهی (حدود 50%، نه بیشترِ صبحها)، و never یعنی هرگز (0%).

کلمههایی که میگن چطور یه کاری رو انجام میدی، مثل carefully, quickly, well، بعد از فعل میآن. اگه فعل چیزی یا کسی رو نام ببره که روش اثر میذاره، کلمهی چطور بعد از اون میآد: reads the instructions carefully.
He speaks Spanish fluently.
She reads the instructions carefully.
She sings beautifully.
Not "He speaks fluently Spanish." — say "He speaks Spanish fluently.". کلمهی چطور رو بین فعل و مفعولش نذار: speak Spanish fluently.

(the instructions carefully / carefully the instructions / the carefully instructions) جواب: the instructions carefully — کلمهی چطور بعد از فعل و بعد از چیزی که روش اثر میذاره میآد: reads the instructions carefully. نه قبلش میآد (carefully the instructions) و نه وسطش (the carefully instructions).
ساختنِ کلمههای چطور: -ly اضافه کن
برای ساختنِ خیلی از کلمههای چطور، به کلمهی توصیفکننده -ly اضافه کن: careful → carefully، slow → slowly، quiet → quietly. حواست به کلمههای مختوم به -y باشه: تبدیل میشن به -ily: easy → easily، happy → happily. کلمههای مختوم به -le هم تبدیل میشن به -ly: gentle → gently، terrible → terribly.
He drives carefully.
She sings beautifully.
They finished the work easily.
Not "She sings beautiful." — say "She sings beautifully.". برای گفتن اینکه چطور آواز میخونه، -ly اضافه کن: beautifully، نه beautiful.
خودت امتحان کن: They finished the project ___. (easily / easy / easyly) جواب: easily — برای گفتن اینکه چطور تمومش کردن، از کلمهی چطور استفاده کن: easily. «Easy» کلمهی توصیفکنندهست، مثل an easy project، و «easyly» یادش میره که easy به -y ختم میشه، که تبدیل میشه به easily.
well, fast, hard
چندتا کلمهی چطور -ly نمیگیرن. اینها رو یاد بگیر: good → well. و fast و hardهمونطور میمونن، بدون -ly. حواست باشه: hardly یک کلمهی دیگهست. یعنی تقریباً هیچ، پس He works hard و He hardly works معنیشون برعکسِ همه.
She speaks English well.
He runs fast.
They work hard every day.
Not "She speaks English good." — say "She speaks English well.". برای گفتن اینکه چطور حرف میزنه، از well استفاده کن، نه good.
خودت امتحان کن: Hiroshi runs very ___. (fast / fastly / quick) جواب: fast — برای گفتن اینکه Hiroshi چطور میدوه، از fast استفاده کن که همونطور میمونه بدون -ly. «Fastly» یه کلمه نیست، و «quick» کلمهی توصیفکنندهست، پس کلمهی چطورش میشه quickly.
خودت امتحان کن: She sings ___ and she plays the guitar very ___. (beautifully … well / beautiful … good / beautifully … good) جواب: beautifully … well — برای گفتن اینکه چطور آواز میخونه، -ly اضافه کن: beautifully. برای انجام دادنِ ماهرانهی یه کار، کلمهی چطور well ـه، نه good. Good و beautiful کلمههای توصیفکنندهان، در حالی که کلمههای چطور well و beautifully ان.
