Nimm will, um über die Zukunft zu sprechen. Die Form ist für alle Personen gleich: will + die Grundform des Verbs (kein -s). Beim Sprechen verkürzt man es oft zu 'll (I'll, she'll). Zwei häufige Anwendungen: eine Vorhersage (was deiner Meinung nach passieren wird) und ein Versprechen oder eine spontane Entscheidung (was du tun wirst).
will + verb
I will call you tomorrow. (a promise)
It will be sunny today. (a prediction)
She'll help you with your bags.
They will arrive at six.
Not "She wills come tomorrow." — say "She will come tomorrow.". will bekommt nie ein -s, und das folgende Verb bleibt in der Grundform (ohne "to").
Probier es: Look at the sky. I think it ___ later. (will rain / will rains / rains) Antwort: will rain — Für eine Vorhersage über die Zukunft nimmst du will + Grundform des Verbs: it will rain. "will rains" hängt ein falsches -s an, und "rains" steht in der Gegenwart, nicht in der Zukunft.
won't = will not
Für die Verneinung von will nimmst du won't + die Grundform des Verbs. (won't = will not.) Das ist bei allen Personen gleich, ohne -s. Nimm es, um zu sagen, dass etwas nicht passieren wird (eine Vorhersage), oder dass du etwas nicht tun wirst (ein Versprechen).
I won't be late, I promise. (a promise)
Don't worry, it won't rain. (a prediction)
She won't come to the party.
Not "I don't will be late." — say "I won't be late.". Die Verneinung von will lautet won't, niemals "don't will".
Probier es: Don't worry, I ___ tell anyone your secret. (won't / don't will / willn't) Antwort: won't — Die Verneinung von will lautet won't + Grundform des Verbs: I won't tell. "Don't will" und "willn't" gibt es nicht, die richtige Form heißt won't.
Will you ...?
Um nach der Zukunft zu fragen oder jemanden um etwas zu bitten, beginnst du mit Will + Person + Grundform des Verbs: Will you ...?
Will you be at the meeting tomorrow?
Will you help me with this box?
Will they arrive on time?
Probier es: ___ you be home this evening? (Will / Do / Are) Antwort: Will — Um nach der Zukunft zu fragen, beginnst du mit Will: Will you be home? "Do you be" gibt es nicht, und "Are you be" verdoppelt das Verb be.
Alles zusammenfügen
Nutze nun alle drei Formen zusammen: will + Grundform für Aussagen, won't + Grundform für Verneinungen und Will you ...? für Fragen. Das Verb nach will/won't steht immer in der Grundform.
I will call, but I won't be late.
Will you help me? Yes, I will.
It won't rain, so we will go out.
