الصفات المتضادة (A1)

كثير من الصفات تأتي في أزواج متضادة. big عكس small، hot عكس cold، وfast عكس slow.

الحجم، درجة الحرارة، والسرعة

• big / small — an elephant is big, a mouse is small
• hot / cold — fire is hot, ice is cold
• fast / slow — a plane is fast, a snail is slow
• جرّب بنفسك: Ice is cold. Fire is the opposite: it is ___. (hot / slow / small) الإجابة: hot — عكس cold هو hot.

الشعور، العمر، والصعوبة

happy عكس sad، new عكس old، وeasy عكس hard.

• happy / sad — a smile is happy, tears are sad
• new / old — a new phone, an old book
• easy / hard — an easy game, a hard test
• جرّب بنفسك: A test that is not easy is ___. (hard / sad / old) الإجابة: hard — عكس easy هو hard.

الحالة، القوة، والطول

clean عكس dirty، full عكس empty، strong عكس weak، وlong عكس short.

• clean / dirty — clean hands, dirty shoes
• full / empty — a full glass, an empty box
• strong / weak — a strong lion, a weak kitten
• long / short — a long river, a short pencil
• جرّب بنفسك: A glass with no water in it is ___. (empty / dirty / weak) الإجابة: empty — عكس full هو empty، والكوب الخالي من الماء يكون empty.
