steal, c’est prendre quelque chose qui n’est pas à toi. Au passé, c’est stole. Quand ça arrive, tu le signales (report) : tu le dis à la police.

Quelque chose a disparu

• Essaie: Man: Someone broke a window in our building last night. Woman: Oh no! Did you ___ it? Choisis ce que dit la femme. (steal / report / find) Réponse: report — Une vitre cassée, on la signale à quelqu’un : you report it.

Les lost and found, c’est un endroit pour les choses que les gens perdent. Belong to + une personne dit à qui est la chose : this bag belongs to my sister.

• Essaie: Woman: Is this your coat? Man: No, it ___ my brother. He left it here. Choisis ce que dit l’homme. (belongs to / reports / steals) Réponse: belongs to — Le manteau est à son frère, donc on dit : it belongs to his brother.
