Phrasal verbs séparables : turn it on, turn it off (A2)
Un phrasal verb, c’est un verbe + une particule, particle en anglais (on, off, up), comme turn on et pick up. Les deux mots ensemble ont un seul sens.

it et them se placent au milieu
Quand le complément est it ou them, place-le au milieu : turn it off, pas turn off it.

Put them on.
Not "Turn off it." — say "Turn it off.". it et them se placent au milieu.

Certains ne se séparent jamais
Certains ne se séparent jamais : look for it, run out of it. Le complément va toujours à la fin.
Where are my keys? I'm looking for them.
We never run out of coffee.
