This coffee is too hot. (I can't drink it)
The music is too loud.
She's too young to drive.
Essayez: I can't drink this, it's ___. (too hot / hot too / too much hot) Réponse: too hot — Too se place avant le mot : too hot.
Is the coffee hot enough?
She's old enough to drive.
He's tall enough to reach the shelf.
Not "She is enough old to drive." — say "She is old enough to drive.".
Essayez: Don't worry, he's ___ to reach the top shelf.
Do we have enough time?
There isn't enough space.
We have enough food for everyone.
Not "I don't have money enough." — say "I don't have enough money.".
Essayez: We can't start yet, there isn't ___ here. (enough space / space enough / too space) Réponse: enough space — Devant une chose (space), enough vient en premier : enough space. "Space enough" inverse l’ordre, et "too space" est incorrect (too s’utilise avec un mot qui décrit).
Essayez: The soup is ___ salty, but at least there's ___ for everyone. (too … enough soup / enough … too soup / too … soup enough) Réponse: too … enough soup — Too salty (un problème) place too avant le mot.
