اول زنگ بزن و یه reservation (رزرو) بگیر. دمِ در بگو چند نفرید: a table for two. بعد menu رو بخون.

قبل از غذا خوردن

• خودت امتحان کن: Woman: What kinds of pizza do they have? Man: I don't know. Ask the waiter for a ___. حرفِ اون مرد رو انتخاب کن. (check / menu / tip) جواب: menu — menu نشون می‌ده چه پیتزاهایی دارن.

سفارش دادن

غذات رو از گارسون سفارش می‌دی: order. appetizer یه غذای کوچیکه قبل از غذای اصلی. Dessert یه چیزِ شیرینه که آخرش می‌خوری.

• خودت امتحان کن: Woman: I'm so hungry, and dinner takes forty minutes here. Man: Okay. We can order a few ___ before dinner. حرفِ اون مرد رو انتخاب کن. (desserts / leftovers / appetizers) جواب: appetizers — غذاهای کوچیکِ قبل از شام، پیش‌غذان: appetizers.

نوشیدنیِ بیشتر، و غذا برای بردن

refill یعنی دوباره نوشیدنیت رو پر کنن، و معمولاً مجانیه. For here or to go? می‌پرسه اینجا غذا می‌خوری یا با خودت می‌بری. Leftovers غذاییه که تمومش نمی‌کنی.

• خودت امتحان کن: Man: Is the coffee free after the first cup? Waiter: Yes. Every ___ is free. حرفِ گارسون رو انتخاب کن. (refill / tip / check) جواب: refill — قهوه‌ی بیشتر بعد از فنجونِ اول یعنی refill.

پول دادن

check نشون می‌ده غذات چقدر شده. tip پولِ اضافه‌ایه که برای گارسون می‌ذاری. برای پول دادن بپرس: Can we have the check, please?

• خودت امتحان کن: Waiter: Can I get you anything else? Woman: No, thank you. ___ حرفِ اون خانم رو انتخاب کن. (A table for two, please. / Is that for here or to go? / Can we have the check, please?) جواب: Can we have the check, please? — دیگه چیزی نمی‌خواد، پس صورت‌حساب رو می‌خواد: Can we have the check, please?
