Reisen und Urlaub (A2)

Vor einer Reise buchst du ein Zimmer oder einen Platz: book. Für eine Reise mit Zug oder Flugzeug brauchst du ein ticket, und für ein anderes Land einen passport.

Bevor du losfährst

• Probier es aus: Officer: Can I see your ___, please? Man: Of course. Here it is. Schau dir das Bild an. Wähle aus, was der Beamte (Officer) sagt. (ticket / passport / suitcase) Antwort: passport — Der Beamte hält ein kleines Heft mit seinem Foto darin, also ist es sein passport.

Dein Gepäck

Ein suitcase ist eine große Tasche für deine Kleidung. Luggage heißt all deine Taschen zusammen, deshalb hat es kein -s.

• Probier es aus: Man: Three big bags? Is that all your ___? Woman: Yes. I'm staying for a month. Wähle aus, was der Mann sagt. (suitcase / luggage / ticket) Antwort: luggage — Drei Taschen zusammen sind ihr ganzes luggage.

Im Hotel

Im Hotel checkst du bei der Ankunft ein: check in, und zwar an der front desk. Wenn du abreist, checkst du aus: check out. Auch am Flughafen checkst du ein.

• Probier es aus: Woman: Our room is so nice. I don't want to leave! Man: I know, but it's time to ___. Wähle aus, was der Mann sagt. (check in / book / check out) Antwort: check out — Sie will nicht gehen, aber es ist Zeit zum Auschecken: check out.

Über Reisen sprechen

Ein trip ist, wenn du von einem Ort zu einem anderen reist. Ein vacation ist freie Zeit ohne Arbeit oder Schule. Frag What's it like?, wenn du etwas über einen Ort hören willst.

• Probier es aus: Woman: My brother lives in Ghafwick now. Man: I don't know Ghafwick. ___ Woman: It's quiet, with a lot of trees. Wähle aus, was der Mann sagt. (What's it like? / What does he like? / How do I get there?) Antwort: What's it like? — Sie erzählt ihm von dem Ort, also fragt er What's it like?
