always、carefully、well (A2)

always、usually、sometimes 和 never 说的是多久一次。它们放在主要动词前面，放在 am、is、are 后面。

• Not "I eat usually lunch at one." — say "I usually eat lunch at one.". 像 usually 这样的副词，要放在主要动词前面。

怎么做：加 -ly

想说你怎么（how）做一件事，就加 -ly：slow → slowly，loud → loudly，careful → carefully。这些副词放在动词后面，或者放在动词和它的宾语后面。

• Please talk slowly.
• He talks loudly on the phone.
• She carries the vase carefully.
• Not "She carries the vase careful." — say "She carries the vase carefully.". 想说她是怎么拿的，就加 -ly：carefully。
• 试一试: Lars: There are toys all over the stairs. Amina: Thanks. I'll walk ___. 选出 Amina 会说的话。 (careful / carefully / loudly) 答案: carefully — 想说 Amina 走过玩具时怎么走，就在 careful 后面加 -ly：carefully。careful 说的是一个人是什么样的，而在楼梯上大声走（loudly）也没什么用。

well、fast、hard（不加 -ly）

有些词不加 -ly。good → well。fast 和 hard 不变：a fast train goes fast，a hard worker works hard。

• She sings well.
• The train goes fast.
• They work hard on the farm.
• Not "She sings very good." — say "She sings very well.". 想说她唱得怎么样，要用 well，不用 good。
• 试一试: Lars: Our new mail carrier is great. Amina: Yes. She walks ___, and our mail is here early. 选出 Amina 会说的话。 (loudly / fast / good) 答案: fast — 邮件来得早，是因为邮递员走得快：fast，而 fast 不变，不加 -ly。大声走路（loudly）不会让邮件早到，good 说的是东西怎么样，不是你怎么走。

once a week、twice a week、every day：多久一次

你也可以用 once a week、twice a week 或 every day 来说多久一次。它们放在句子末尾。

• I call my parents once a week.
• We play soccer twice a week.
• I clean my room every day.

slow 还是 slowly？

说一个东西或一个人是什么样的，用 slow、careful 或 good：a slow bus，a careful driver。说某人怎么做一件事，用 slowly、carefully 或 well：she drives carefully。

• She's a careful driver. She drives carefully.
• He's a good cook. He cooks well.
• Not "The bus is very slowly today." — say "The bus is very slow today.". is 后面说的是公交车是什么样的：slow。
• 试一试: Lars: Can I use your computer? Amina: Sure, but it's old and ___. 选出 Amina 会说的话。 (slowly / slow / loudly) 答案: slow — 在 it's 后面，Amina 说的是她的旧电脑是什么样的，所以用 slow。slowly 和 loudly 说的是某人怎么做事，不是东西是什么样的。
