Convidar alguém, invite, é chamar a pessoa para vir. Você pode perguntar: Are you free on …? — e dizer o dia. Quando você diz sim, você aceita: accept.

Para dizer não com educação, diga I'm afraid I can't e dê um motivo. Maybe another time mostra que você quer ir num outro dia.
