These verbs don't add -ed. They change shape, learn them: go → went · come → came · see → saw.
go, come, see
Yesterday Amina went to school.
Hiroshi came late.
I saw a film last night.
Not "Yesterday Amina goed to school." — say "Yesterday Amina went to school.". There is no "goed", the past of go is the new word went.

have, do, make
Learn three more: have → had · do → did · make → made.

eat, drink, take
Three you'll use a lot: eat → ate · drink → drank · take → took.

Same form for everyone
The past form is the same for everyone, and it never adds -s: I went, she went, they went.

Negatives: didn't + base verb
For not, use didn't + the base verb. The verb goes back to plain, no past form after didn't.
I didn't go to school.
She didn't see the film.
They didn't have lunch.
Not "I didn't went to school." — say "I didn't go to school.". Didn't already shows the past, the verb goes back to go, not "went."
Try it: She ___ the film. (didn't see / didn't saw / don't see) Answer: didn't see — Didn't already shows the past, so the verb is plain: didn't see (not "didn't saw").
Questions: Did + base verb
To ask, start with Did, then the base verb. No past form after Did.
Did you go to school?
Did she see the film?
Did they have lunch?
Not "Did you went to school?" — say "Did you go to school?". Did already shows the past, the verb stays plain: go, not "went."
Try it: ___ Hiroshi see the film? (Did / Does / Was) Answer: Did — For a past question, start with Did, then the base verb: Did Hiroshi see? (Does is present; Was needs no main verb.)
