Object Pronouns (A1 Grammar)

Object pronouns receive the action. Use after verbs and prepositions.

Quick tip: I→me, you→you, he→him, she→her, it→it, we→us, they→them

Subject → Object

I→me, he→him, she→her, we→us, they→them.

• I love him.
• She knows me.
• They help us.

After verbs

Use object pronouns when receiving the action.

• Can you see her?
• We help them.
• Call me tomorrow.

After prepositions

Use object pronouns after for, with, to, at, about.

• This is for you.
• Come with me.
• Talk to him.

Common mistakes

• Not "Can you help I?" — say "Can you help me?". Use me after verbs.
• Not "This is for he." — say "This is for him.". Use him after prepositions.
• Not "I like they." — say "I like them.". Use them after verbs.
