Object Pronouns (A1 Grammar)
Object pronouns receive the action. Use after verbs and prepositions.
Quick tip: I→me, you→you, he→him, she→her, it→it, we→us, they→them
Subject → Object
I→me, he→him, she→her, we→us, they→them.
- I love him.
- She knows me.
- They help us.
After verbs
Use object pronouns when receiving the action.
- Can you see her?
- We help them.
- Call me tomorrow.
After prepositions
Use object pronouns after for, with, to, at, about.
- This is for you.
- Come with me.
- Talk to him.
Common mistakes
- Not "Can you help I?" — say "Can you help me?". Use me after verbs.
- Not "This is for he." — say "This is for him.". Use him after prepositions.
- Not "I like they." — say "I like them.". Use them after verbs.
