برای اینکه بگی توی صف نفرِ چندمی، یا چندمِ ماهه، از first، second، third استفاده کن. این سه تا از الگو پیروی نمیکنن، پس جداگونه یادشون بگیر.
first, second, third (اول، دوم، سوم)
first /fɜːrst/ — Amina is first in the line.
second /ˈsek.ənd/ — Lars is second.
third /θɜːrd/ — The class is on March third.

پسوندِ بعد از third
برای بیشترِ عددهای دیگه، به آخرین کلمهی عدد نگاه کن و -th اضافه کن:
four → fourth
six → sixth
ten → tenth
اگه آخرش -y باشه، اول میشه -ie: twenty → twentieth. چندتا هم یه کم بیشتر عوض میشن، مثل five → fifth.
بعد از twenty الگو دوباره شروع میشه، پس twenty-one → twenty-first.

twentieth /ˈtwen.ti.əθ/ — We meet on the twentieth.

خودت امتحان کن: Wei: The art show is on June 6. Yasmin: June ___. I can come. حرفِ Yasmin رو کامل کن. (sixth / sixteenth / six) جواب: sixth — Wei میگه June 6، و six -th میگیره: June sixth. six خودِ عدده، و sixteenth میشه June 16.
birthday و date of birth
birthday روزیه که جشن میگیری. date of birth همون روزه که توی یه فرم نوشته میشه. توی آمریکا اول ماه میآد: May 3 نوشته میشه 5/3.

گفتنِ سال
سال رو توی دو بخش میگن، نه بهصورتِ یه عددِ بزرگ:
1998 → nineteen ninety-eight
2024 → twenty twenty-four
سالهای 2000 تا 2009 رو کامل میگن: 2000 → two thousand.
