Usa am/is/are going to para un plan que ya has decidido. (I'm = I am.)
I'm going to study
I'm going to study tonight.
I'm going to call Amina later.
We're going to eat at the cafe on Moffen Street.
Pruébalo: ___ study English on Sunday. (I'm going to / I going to / I'm go to) Respuesta: I'm going to — Necesitas am antes de going to: I'm going to study. (I'm = I am.) No te comas el am, y no cambies "going to".
¿am, is o are?
Usa am con I, is con he / she / it, y are con you / we / they.
I'm going to help.
Hiroshi is going to visit Senfarren.
They are going to stay.
Not "He are going to come." — say "He is going to come.". Usa is con he, she, it, no are.
Pruébalo: Hiroshi ___ walk to school on Monday. (is going to / are going to / going to) Respuesta: is going to — Hiroshi es una persona (he), así que usa is: is going to walk. ("are" es para you, we, they.)
She is going to study.
He is going to come at six.
They are going to play in the park.
Not "He is going to studies." — say "He is going to study.".
Pruébalo: Lani is ___ at the library on Sunday. (going to study / going to studies / going to studying) Respuesta: going to study — Después de going to, el verbo se queda tal cual: study. Ni "studies" ni "studying".
No te comas el 'to'
Conserva la palabra to: I'm going to study. No la dejes fuera.
I'm going to visit Amina.
We're going to eat soon.
He's going to play later.
Pruébalo: I'm ___ my grandmother on Saturday. (going to visit / going visit) Respuesta: going to visit — Conserva la palabra to: going to visit.
isn't / aren't going to
Para decir que un plan NO va a pasar, añade not después de am/is/are. (isn't = is not; aren't = are not.)
He isn't going to come.
We aren't going to stay.
He is not going to come. = He isn't going to come.
Pruébalo: Liam ___ come on Friday. (isn't going to / not going to / doesn't going to) Respuesta: isn't going to — Añade not después de is: isn't going to come. (isn't = is not.) No usas "doesn't" con going to.
Preguntar
Para preguntar, pon Am / Is / Are primero: Are you going to...? Is he going to...?
Are you going to study?
Is he going to come?
What are you going to do?
Pruébalo: ___ study this weekend? (Are you going to / Are you go to / Do you going to) Respuesta: Are you going to — Para preguntar, Are va primero: Are you going to study? Mantén going (no "go"), y no añades "do".
I am going to call Amina.
Maya is going to make the posters.
We are going to help Ethan.
Not "I going to call Amina." — say "I am going to call Amina.".
Pruébalo: Diego: Everyone has a job for Saturday. Maya: Yes. I ___ the posters. Completa lo que dice Maya. (going to make / am going to make / am going make) Respuesta: am going to make — Maya necesita las tres partes a la vez: am, luego going to y luego el verbo tal cual make.
Adónde vas o qué vas a hacer
Después de going to, un lugar te dice adónde vas: I'm going to the park. Un verbo tal cual te dice qué vas a hacer: I'm going to read. Para decir las dos cosas, úsalas juntas: I'm going to go to the park.
I'm going to the library.
I'm going to read there.
On Saturday I'm going to go to Senville Park.
Pruébalo: Lani: Where are you going after class? Yasmin: I'm going to ___. Ethan is there. Completa lo que dice Yasmin. (read / the Community Center / help) Respuesta: the Community Center — Lani pregunta where, así que la respuesta tiene que ser un lugar: the Community Center. Read y help son verbos tal cual. Dicen qué vas a hacer, no adónde vas.
