开始住进新家，就是 move in。离开原来的家，就是 move out。

搬进来和搬出去

• 试一试: Lars: Look, there's a van on our street. Amina: Yes, our new neighbors are ___ today. 看图，选出 Amina 会说的话。 (moving out / moving in / move in) 答案: moving in — 他们是新邻居，是来这里住的，所以是 they are moving in。are 后面用 -ing 形式：moving。

看新房子的时候，你会问到 rent、lease 和 landlord。

• Landlord: $900 a month.
• Visitor: Can I see the lease?
• Landlord: Sure. Here it is. Please read it before you sign.
• 试一试: Amina: Who do I give the rent to? Lars: The ___. Her office is on the first floor. 选出 Lars 会说的话。 (lease / landlord / neighbor) 答案: landlord — 房租要交给楼里有办公室的那个人，也就是房东：landlord。lease 是一份文件，而房租也不会交给 neighbor。

搬进去之前，问一问 security deposit 和 utilities，再问问房租里包含哪些东西：included。

• Landlord: No. You pay them every month.
• Visitor: And how much is the security deposit?
• Landlord: One month's rent.
• 试一试: Lars: Do you pay for the water? Amina: No. The water is ___. 选出 Amina 会说的话。 (cheap / expensive / included) 答案: included — Amina 完全不用付水费，所以水费算在房租里：它是 included。水费 cheap 也好，expensive 也好，都还是要付的。

neighbor 就住在你旁边。你公寓里有东西坏了，房东会来修：repairs。

• 试一试: Lars: Is your window okay now? Amina: Yes. The landlord ___ it on Monday. 看图，选出 Amina 会说的话。 (rented / repaired / moved out) 答案: repaired — 梯子上的女士在给窗户装新玻璃，现在窗户好了，所以是房东修好了它：repaired。没有人租（rented）这扇窗户，而 moved out 说的是离开一个家。
