定语从句：The person who …，the place where … (A2)

要说清楚你指的是哪个人或哪样东西，就加上 that 和更多的话。that 可以用于人，也可以用于东西。说东西的时候，大家平时最常说的就是它。

that 用于人和东西

• The woman that lives next door has a dog.
• This is the key that opens the back door.
• 试一试: Woman: What do you want for dinner? Man: A pizza ___ has lots of vegetables. 选出那个男人会说的话。 (who / that / where) 答案: that — 比萨是东西，that 可以用于人和东西。

who 用于人，which 用于东西

你也可以用 who 说人，用 which 说东西。

• The boy who sits next to me is very funny.
• My sister has a car which is very old.
• Not "The boy which sits next to me is very funny." — say "The boy who sits next to me is very funny.". 说人用 who（或 that），不用 which。

where 用于地方

说到一个地方，就用 where，再说在那里发生的事。

that、who、which 还是 where？

人：用 that 或 who。东西：用 that 或 which。地方和在那里发生的事：用 where。
