Para dizer qual numa fila, ou qual dia do mês, use first, second, third. Esses três não seguem o padrão, então aprenda cada um separadamente.

first /fɜːrst/ — Amina is first in the line.
second /ˈsek.ənd/ — Lars is second.
third /θɜːrd/ — The class is on March third.

A terminação depois de third
Para a maioria dos outros números, olhe a última palavra do número e acrescente -th:
four → fourth
six → sixth
ten → tenth
Um -y no final vira -ie primeiro: twenty → twentieth. Alguns mudam um pouco mais, como five → fifth.
Depois de twenty o padrão começa de novo, então twenty-one → twenty-first.

tenth /tenθ/ — The party is on the tenth.
twentieth /ˈtwen.ti.əθ/ — We meet on the twentieth.
twenty-first /ˌtwen.ti ˈfɜːrst/ — Her birthday is on the twenty-first.

Seu birthday é o dia em que você faz festa. Sua date of birth é o mesmo dia escrito num formulário. Nos Estados Unidos, o mês vem primeiro: May 3 se escreve 5/3.

Como dizer um ano
Um ano se diz em duas metades, e não como um número grande só:
1998 → nineteen ninety-eight
2024 → twenty twenty-four
Os anos de 2000 a 2009 são ditos inteiros: 2000 → two thousand.
