Use am/is/are going to para um plano que você já decidiu. Depois de going to, use o verbo no infinitivo. (I'm = I am.)
I'm going to study
I'm going to study tonight.
I'm going to call Amina later.
We're going to eat at the cafe on Moffen Street.
Experimente: ___ study tonight. (I'm going to / I going to / I'm go to) Resposta: I'm going to — Você precisa do am antes de going to: I'm going to study. (I'm = I am.) Não deixe o am de fora, e não mude "going to".
am, is ou are?
Use am com I, is com he / she / it, e are com you / we / they.
I'm going to help.
Hiroshi is going to visit Senfarren.
They are going to stay.
Not "He are going to come." — say "He is going to come.". Use is com he, she, it, não are.
Experimente: Hiroshi ___ visit Senfarren. (is going to / are going to / going to) Resposta: is going to — Hiroshi é uma pessoa (he), então use is: is going to visit. ("are" é para you, we, they.)
Mantenha o verbo no infinitivo
Depois de going to, o verbo fica no infinitivo. Sem -s, sem -ing.
She is going to study.
He is going to come at six.
They are going to play in the park.
Not "He is going to studies." — say "He is going to study.". Depois de going to, use o verbo no infinitivo: study, não studies.
Experimente: She is ___ tonight. (going to study / going to studies / going to studying) Resposta: going to study — Depois de going to, o verbo fica no infinitivo: study. Não é "studies" nem "studying".
Não deixe o 'to' de fora
Mantenha a palavrinha to: I'm going to study. Não deixe ela de fora.
I'm going to visit Amina.
We're going to eat soon.
He's going to play later.
Experimente: I'm ___ Amina on Saturday. (going to visit / going visit) Resposta: going to visit — Mantenha a palavrinha to: going to visit. Não a deixe de fora ("going visit" está sem o to).
isn't / aren't going to
Para dizer que um plano NÃO vai acontecer, adicione not depois de am/is/are. (isn't = is not; aren't = are not.)
He isn't going to come.
We aren't going to stay.
He is not going to come. = He isn't going to come.
Experimente: He ___ come tonight. (isn't going to / not going to / doesn't going to) Resposta: isn't going to — Adicione not depois de is: isn't going to come. (isn't = is not.) Você não usa "doesn't" com going to.
Perguntando
Para perguntar, coloque Am / Is / Are primeiro: Are you going to...? Is he going to...?
Are you going to study?
Is he going to come?
What are you going to do?
Experimente: ___ study this weekend? (Are you going to / You are going to / Do you going to) Resposta: Are you going to — Para perguntar, Are vem primeiro: Are you going to study? "You are going to" afirma, não pergunta, e você não adiciona "do".
Experimente: They ___ play in the park. (are going to / is going to / going to) Resposta: are going to — "They" combina com are: are going to play. Mantenha "going to" e o verbo no infinitivo.
