Turn left と turn right は、新しい通りに入ることです。left（左）と right（右）は、2つの側を表します。

Not "Turn right at the bank. (this takes you away from the library)" — say "Turn left at the bank. (the library is on the left)". 行きたい場所がある側を言いましょう。
