Los reflexive pronouns (pronombres reflexivos) terminan en -self o -selves. Para una persona o cosa: myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself. Para más de una: ourselves, yourselves, themselves.

The cat is washing itself.
The children dressed themselves.
Pruébalo: Man: How was the party? Woman: Great! The kids really enjoyed ___. Elige lo que dice la mujer. (them / ourselves / themselves) Respuesta: themselves — Los niños la pasaron bien, así que se divirtieron: enjoyed themselves.
De vuelta a la misma persona
Cuando alguien se hace algo a sí mismo, usa un reflexive pronoun (pronombre reflexivo: myself, yourself…): I hurt myself.
I hurt myself.
He's talking to himself.
Not "I hurt me." — say "I hurt myself.". La misma persona lo hace y sale lastimada, así que myself.

By myself (yo solo)
Di by myself cuando haces algo sin nadie más. Funciona con todos los pronombres reflexivos: by yourself, by herself, by ourselves.
I like to walk by myself.

¿La misma persona u otra?
La misma persona: un pronombre reflexivo (myself, herself, themselves). Otra persona: un pronombre de objeto (me, her, them).
She looked at herself in the mirror. (the same woman)
She looked at her and said hello. (another woman)
