ركوب الباص والقطار (A2)

fare هي ثمن الركوب. وtransit card تدفع بها الأجرة. وأجرة round-trip تأخذك إلى هناك وتعيدك.

دفع أجرة الركوب

• جرّب بنفسك: Lani: How do I pay here? Farid: Use your ___. انظر إلى الصورة. اختر ما يقوله Farid. (transit card / fare / platform) الإجابة: transit card — ترفع بطاقتها لتدفع، إذن تستخدم transit card.

في المحطة

تنتظر القطار على platform. وThe Blue Line أحد خطوط القطار هنا، والخط رقم 7 خط آخر. وأن تغيّر (transfer) يعني أن تنزل من قطار وتركب قطارًا آخر.

• جرّب بنفسك: Lani: Where do we wait for the train? Farid: Down there, on the ___. انظر إلى الصورة. اختر ما يقوله Farid. (sidewalk / fare / platform) الإجابة: platform — الناس يقفون بجانب المكان الذي يأتي إليه القطار، إذن هم ينتظرون على platform.

الصعود والنزول

تركب الباص أو القطار: get on، وتنزل في محطتك: get off. وعندما تتأخر، يفوتك: miss.

• جرّب بنفسك: Farid: Here's the number 5 bus. Lani: Great. Let's ___. اختر ما تقوله Lani. (get off / miss / get on) الإجابة: get on — باصهما وصل، إذن سيركبان: get on.
